Other Ways You Can Help
Ask a Friend to Donate
Many people prefer to come to their first donation with a friend or family member. Your encouragement can help a loved one make a life-saving decision to donate blood.
For information and tips on encouraging others to donate, please see our About Blood and FAQs pages.
Sponsor a Blood Drive
As a member of your school, church, business, civic, community or social group, you have access to potential blood donors. Sponsoring a blood drive helps ensure a safe blood supply is available for everyone. It also builds the morale of your group as members experience
a feeling of accomplishment at the end of a successful blood drive.

a blood drive, call

Volunteer
Volunteers are crucial to the success of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services and the foundation of our organization for more than 125 years. If for some reason you are not eligible to donate blood, please consider giving your time. It is likely that there is a volunteer position that will allow you to serve your communities, learn new skills, build your resume, and meet new people.
For a list of volunteer opportunities in your area, please visit the American Red Cross web site at www.RedCross.org or call 1.800.GIVE LIFE to find your local American Red Cross volunteer office.
Make a Monetary Donation
The American Red Cross provides nearly half the nation’s blood supply and responds to more than 70,000 man-made or natural disasters each year.
Your monetary donation allows us to continue to help patients in need and assist those affected by disaster.
